Important Info re the 2012 Flower Show

What will be the opening Hours?
The show will run over 4 days (actual dates will be advised) as follows:

Can my ticket be used on any day?
Any tickets purchased can be used on any of the days that the show is open - however do bear in mind that it is likely to be a lot quieter on Thursday & Friday, so if you want to avoid the crowds then do try to get there on one of these days.

Are Eft-Pos facilities available?
Eft-pos facilities are available on site for any purchases - most retailers will have Eft-Pos facilities, and there is also public eft-pos stations to get cash (a $2 charge per transaction will apply for the latter)

It is possible to purchase entry tickets by Eft-pos, but as this will invariably introduce delays then having either a pre-bought ticket (which will save you a lot of money anyway - see the ticket page) or cash to purchase your entry tickets will get you into the show a lot quicker

What about disability access and parking?
There is plenty of disabled parking on site for genuine holders of mobility permits.

Invacare New Zealand will have a depot in the disabled carpark and will be renting mobility scooters out for $10 for 2 hours or $20 for 4 hours during normal show hours.

Scooters can access all the outside areas but are not permitted in the inside halls. However Invacare will also have wheelchairs that are available free of charge for accessing the inside halls.

What about child minding facilities?

What's the arrangement for buses?
We have arranged bus parking right next door at the ASB showgrounds for $20 per bus per day. Buses will be able to discharge passengers at the grounds, then go to the dedicated bus parking area in the ASB showgrounds.

This means that anyone who wants to sit in the bus before it leaves (dependant on the arrangements with your charter operator, if they will allow this) will be able to access the bus parking area a short walk away

Where can I stay?
There is heaps of motels and hotels in the area surrounding Alexandra Park, especially on Greenlane Road, Great South Road and Manukau Road.

If you were one of the many thousands who attended the Auckland Flower Show 2008 then you will know what a great, world-class show that it was.

Indeed when one of our esteemed international judges from Australiae says that the Melbourne Flower Show could learn from us then we know that we have achieved the standard that we set out to achieve.
